We had our very first book signing at Chico’s Pearland, Texas, on Sunday December 6, THANKS to manager Vivian Shemberger and assistant manager Elizebeth Ann Finney! And, another huge THANKS to everyone who came out to support us! We sold Divorce. Wilderness. Peace… A 40 Day Healing Journey (DWP) books along with its companion journal, DWP… The Workbook, and invited people to sit and talk about their marital and relationship status. What we found was that even in a store setting, women and men, have a lot to express about their experiences.
It doesn’t matter how long the divorce or break up took place – some had been divorced for 20 years or more, others breaking up just a year after being in a relationship thought to be leading to marriage – people have feelings to release. We also found that people are truly not alone in what they’ve been through in their marriages. Those who attended said getting a chance to talk and participate in some of our Divorce. Wilderness. Peace… activities, was valuable and they were glad they came. Thank you for coming!
We truly do appreciate everyone’s willingness to share and to check out Chico’s as a great place to makeover, or add to your wardrobe. If you are reinventing yourself, it’s a great place to start. And if you are male, it’s a great place to shop for the women in your life.
Right now through Christmas, we have a limited time special where you can buy DWP and DWP… The Workbook, for just $24. Just click here to go to our order page to get this deal with our thanks.
Hilda brought her mom, Isabel, with her to our book signing.
The book signing was awesome. The book is really relates to what we as humans go through when we separate from someone. Even if you have never been divorced, it gives you tools that you can implement into your life to help get over a break up.
Kizzy, thanks so much. We were surprised to learn that “DWP” reached touched people not divorced. It turns out to be for all typed of relationships. That makes up happy and proud. Keep on the healing journey.☺️
I attended the book signing and I was able to get a feel of what the workshop will do. It allowed me to see strengths and weakness that I had never really thought I had. This encouraged me to continue to get through my current relationship struggle. I have started reading the book as well and it has really motivated me through its scriptures, it is spiritual and allows an inner peace when read. The book not only helps you through a wilderness of divorce but also any given wilderness of any life changing situations!
Hidal, thanks so much for your comment. We have learned through the workshops and book signings that “DWP” is about all types of relationships. Even in a good loving and healthy marriage there are challenging times. We are so glad that you find the scriptures inspiring and uplifting, we do too. Thanks for your support.
